Technical Absorbents (TAL), the manufacturer of Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF) was exhibiting at IDEA for the second time. TAL has been manufacturing SAF and developing SAF-based super absorbent solutions for over 20 years, and the application of super absorbents has progressed a lot in recent years. SAF is already incorporated in numerous technical nonwoven fabrics and spun yarns. SAF absorbs up to 200 times its own weight in demineralized water and 60 times its own weight in saline at extremely fast absorption rates.
